Get Rid of Acne with Aloe Vera

If you are looking for the best natural remedy against your acne problems, you can end your quest  with aloe vera acne treatment. Aloe vera is widely recognized to successfully eliminate your acne problems and helping improve your skin condition such that you could prevent it from recurring.

Use Aloe Vera to Treat Acne

The sap contained within an aloe vera plant has a number of healing qualities. One of the conditions that is commonly treated with aloe vera is acne, a skin condition in which the sebaceous glands and hair follicles become inflamed and produce pimples. Aloe vera has anti-inflammatory properties that help treat this condition.

Aloe Vera Gel

This is used a lot for minor burns from the sun or minimally hot surfaces, but it is effective in treating acne as well. Make sure that the product you choose is natural. It should be free of drying agents like alcohol. You can use the gel as a spot treatment or an all over facial application to help reduce redness and swelling.

Aloe Vera Lotion

Although lotion is thought to clog pores and promote acne, natural aloe vera lotions can help to sooth dry and damaged skin while gently opening pores and allowing them to breathe, which in turn promotes healing of the skin. If you’re going to use lotion to help control skin tone and to prevent dry skin, ditch the chemical laden products and try natural aloe vera varieties instead.

Aloe Vera Soap

Using organic or glycerin aloe vera soaps to thoroughly cleanse your face at least twice a day will help to reduce the amount of acne you experience while also helping to maintain even skin tone. However, it’s important not to wash your face with soap too often as it may result in dry and flaky skin.

Natural Acne Treatment

Aside from aloe vera acne treatments, there are a number of natural alternatives to the harsh acne medications available on the market. According to the Mayo Clinic, Tea tree Oil, Zinc Supplements and Glycolic Acid may help to reduce inflammation and swelling while reducing acne breakouts.

Of course, good old fashioned soap and water multiple times a day is one of the most effective ways of reducing and eliminating acne problems, especially in active people. Facial masks, avocado scrubs and cucumber rubs can play a role in reducing redness and scarring as well.

Homemade Aloe Vera Acne Treatments

The purest and most effective way to use aloe vera as an acne remedy is to use the juice of aloe vera leaves directly on the skin. This can be done by simply picking the leaves as you need them, or by squeezing the juice from several leaves into a clean jar where it can be stored in a cool, dry place for a couple of days’ worth of use. Put the gel from the leaves directly on pimples and problem areas on a daily basis. You should see results within just a few days of the first treatment.

Notes Below

Don’t expect aloe vera to cure acne completely. Aloe vera works on the symptoms of acne, but may not entirely address the root causes. Consistent use is required to maintain results.
